Turquoise Fever

 

We have some beautiful new items hitting the shop this week! Lots of all natural Turquoise, I'm so drawn to this gem lately. Turquoise is a master healing stone with the ability to dispel negative energy, stabilize moods, instill serenity and it can be used during meditation to help open and clear the mind. Wearing this mesmerizing stone will help you to gain wisdom, inner peace, love and friendship. This lovely little stone is a perfect companion for me right now! We also printed up some gorgeous new postcards with some new drawings and shots from our Summer look book, which we'll be releasing very soon!

I'm especially fond of the new Kingman Turquoise Oracle, a perfect addition to the Crystal Oracle Collection! The breathtaking Turquoise nuggets comes from the Kingman mine in Arizona, one of the largest and oldest mines in the United States. We can not get enough of these beautiful stones, so rich with artisan history! Stop by the shop and check them out!

Weekend Highlights

Over the weekend I shipped out lots of orders and made some new items! I'm so drawn to Turquoise lately and it's no wonder, considering one of it's many properties is the ability to instill inner calmness. I've got lots of big changes going on, good changes, but changes nonetheless, this lovely gem is a good companion for me! We'll have some new items hitting the shop this week!

And I'm super excited about what Trev is working on!! Besides giving me tons of encouragement and being my biggest inspiration, Trevor is the photographer and web developer here at SoulMakes, while I generally do all the designing and making. It's so cool to see how our rolls in SoulMakes develop over time, I've certainly gotten much more involved in the tech stuff and for a while now Trev has been a great sounding board for my design ideas. Sometimes he gives me game-changing suggestions on simple elements, such as which chain to use or what charm to attach etc. Recently we've started to experiment with lost wax, a process in which metal is cast in the shape of a carving done in wax. It's a very popular technique used to make rings, bracelets, charms and sculptures. Trev has really taken to it and I could not be more excited to have him involved in the creative process! It's so wonderful to see his artistic side come alive in a new medium! We really bring out the best in each other, it's so amazing getting to work with the love of my life!

This is his first carving! I'm super impressed! He loves that Dremel.. We can't wait to bring the finished results to the shop after we get a bit more practice in :)

Nowhere To Go

There's so much life to be lived, places to go, so many adventures yet unseen, and wild hearts to meet. There's a great deal to learn along the journey, abundant room for growth and no better time than now. An important chapter of my life is closing, leaving me open to focus on my true ambition and bring full intention to my venture. A million possibilities lay before me. This is such a huge blessing, a dream-come-true kind of blessing. I put one foot in front of the other and let a Greater Force carry me from one cosmic circumstance to the next, confronting my fears along the way. I can't always see it working in my life, but I trust in the process and know that I am being taken care of. It's a wonderful thing that I get to choose how I think and feel today and I choose faith. What can I say? I'm overflowing with gratitude for all these amazing opportunities. 

The Cosmic Lover Collection goes well with my mood, these little gems are quite powerful! Be sure to check them out in the shop, perhaps they will bring you a nice dose of inspiration too!
