The latest look book was shot in the Mars Family Home. Caught in a Dream, that is more or less the reality of our lives. The dream, of course, is SoulMakes. Our little love child, our blooming passion. Here we are in our new home, adorned wall to wall with dreamcatchers, mirrors and jewelry crafted by SoulMakes. Surrounded by the gifts of our growing business, truly we are caught in a dream. 

This book is a glimpse inside our magical little world. In it we've captured the creative process that is present throughout the house, decorating! Using white walls like blank canvases, covering them in various SoulMakes wall hangings and even some jewelry! We add a pop of color to most rooms in the house by adding kantha blankets and pillows. Their vibrant patterns add such a fun elements to the room, not to mention they are so soft and cozy, it's hard not to find yourself all wrapped up in them. Even better if you're covered in SoulMakes Jewels ;)

We've just released a whole new collection of dreamy jewelry. Using classic SoulMakes materials; leather, coins, shells and for the season we've incorporated some more warm & metallic details withs lots of eye catcher copper beading. We love this collection all layered up together, and don't forget a touch of turquoise!

This look book happened almost entirely by accident. On our Lake Tahoe honeymoon, Trevor and I stayed in this great little cabin tucked away amongst the towering pines off the lake shore. We were so fond of the ever present 70's vibe throughout the house, with it's old plaid couches, shaggy carpeting and dark wood table tops. Both us of being photographers, we wanted to capture every moment of our magical getaway. So we figured we better do some photos at the place we called our home for the first two weeks of our marriage. The surrounding Tahoe scenery had me inspired and making jewels the whole trip. I threw on some of my latest creations with some thrift finds from the local shops. Trevor pulled out his camera as I danced around the cabin from room to room. There is a certain closeness that Trevor and I share when we do these photo shoots together. My husband behind the lens and me the subject of his eye. Our mutual passion for all things creative bonds us in such a special way. We tend to look at life as an art project, working together a little each day to add to it's beauty and so, Summer of Love was born.

  Our latest collection, with obvious Tahoe influences, can be found in the shop now! We named each item after some of the breathtakingly beautiful places we visited while exploring the area. I can feel the lightness of Spring gradually pushing through what's left of winter, making room for itself to bloom. The birds have begun to sing again as the early sun rises. The air is becoming lighter with warm & subtle winds sweeping past my cheeks and through my hair. This is my favorite season. The coming of spring is an oasis amid a dark and dreary winter. I will never grow bored of watching the seasons change. The way the Earth blooms and becomes reborn again, seemingly without effort, is one of the most beautiful things I have the pleasure of witnessing on this fine planet.

Naturally we wanted this book to reflect all of our favorite aspects of of the season, although we couldn't travel far enough away to find warm temperatures. We shot the book in our very own home! We created our own Spring time day dream with bright flowers and dreamcatchers hand made from dried rose vines. The stunning model, Kathleen, wears spring whites, a few pastels and is covered in the latest SoulMakes jewels for the added touch of color. Another reason we love this season, less clothes leaves more room to layer on all that jewelry! The whole book was shot with an ever so slight blushing undertone, which creates such a lush & dreamy vibe. We love it!
