On the second day of our honeymoon we drove up through the winding Palo Alto Hills to Portola State Park. The views along the way were breathtaking. In some spots the earth was wide open with canyons and rocky foot hills. In other places the hillside was covered in lush green conopies swaying gently in the wind. It was one of the most stunning drives we've ever taken. As we got closer to the park we saw our first Redwoods towering over head. These beauties are gigantic from every angle. The texture of the bark alone was enough to take my breath away. Of course, being as big and beautiful as they are, they're impossible to photograph. We could've spent hours wandering the park aiming for the perfect shot. Being amongst such grand designs of Mother Nature always makes me feel so grateful, especially for the opportunity to enjoy it with the love of my life.

We are loving South Lake Tahoe! We're surrounded by beautiful scenery all day and night and as an added bonus there's tons of Spell stockists out here, so we've done some hard core shopping(got the skirt from an amazing little boutique called fine n funky) It's such a blessing for us to be able to spend this time enjoying our first days of marriage together. The love we share for each other is so special and unique. We've always loved exploring together, going on adventures and enjoying all of God's artwork. In our wedding vows, we promised each other we would always encourage each others passions and share our creativity. This getaway has been such a wonderful opportunity to do just that!

We've spent several evenings sitting on the lake shore as the sun goes down. It's such a beautiful time of the evening. The air cools down just enough to throw on a light sweater and cuddle up with my husband on the beach. The sun ducks behind the mountains before it sets, casting shadows and scattered rays across the horizon. I love the way the the layered hills look across the lake. It's like sitting in a perfect watercolor. Being here with my husband has given me the much needed opportunity to refresh my relationship with God and simultaneously grow closer to my soulmate. It's been such a beautiful gift!

We ventured out to the most beautiful, quiet state beach on the coast of California. As we drove through the winding mountain roads, taking in all it's surroundings had to offer, I found it hard to believe that we would be seeing the beach so soon. We've never seen anything like San Gregorio beach before. The beaches on the East Coast, where we're from, are completely flat. It was so amazing to see where the mountains met the sea. It's impossible to feel anything other than utter gratitude when you staring out at some of God's most beautiful artwork with your best friend who just became your HUSBAND.

Free People Cardigan

Our first few days on our magical honeymoon were spent exploring the bay area. We drove through the Palo Alto hills, catching amazing views the whole way, we stopped at Portola State Park to see some towering Redwoods and then headed straight for the coast. Neither of us have ever been all the way to the West Coast. We were in awe of the mountains and rocks enveloping the ocean waves. I love the way the houses stack up on the hillside beside the beach. It was like nothing we'd ever seen before. This was one of the beaches we stopped at in the evening, Pacifica State Beach. It was too chilly to swim, but the surfers were still at it. Where we live, the sun rises over the ocean, so we were so excited to watch it set over the ocean for a change. It was an amazing experience!

We want to thank you all for being so wonderful and patient while we're out of the studio, enjoying our first days of marriage. We want to show you all a little love with this special treat for you!
