We arrived in Denver on Tuesday evening for a lovely winter getaway! This is our home away from home. Every year for the holidays we come out here to spend time with Trevor's family and explore. Colorado, in some places, is a vast wide open beauty and in others it a rocky terrain dotted with aspen trees. It feels like there is always more to discover. On our first two days we went to a few of our favorite spots around Denver and Boulder and we drove up towards Mount Evans, until we hit the snowy road blocks. We found frozen lakes, tall evergreens and red rocks. The sun was so bright and beautiful, glistening and bouncing off the frozen landscape and on our way back into the city we watched the sun set behind the Rockies. I've seen it so many times, but it never gets old.

Beautiful! It's just going to be me and my boyfriend for Christmas, so we might ride up into the mountains (we live in Denver) and find some of those beautiful aspens!
