Featured Artist: Hannah Chloe

I was so excited and honored to collaborate with the majorly talented street artist, Hannah Adamaszek. I am a long time fan of her amazing art! One of my favorite things about my job is getting to meet other creative souls and being able to share our talents with the world together. Hannah's work is so wonderfully profound and unique. It's just the right combination of edgy and feminine. The women in her paintings are subtle and delicate, yet bold and strong. I love the earthy tones and bohemian vibe of these beauties. When I first laid eyes on these gorgeous works of art, I could immediately feel the energy. Just holding them in my hands and marveling at their grace made me somehow feel extremely proud to be woman and an artist. I could not wait to hang these mini prints in the SoulMakes studio! I immediately arranged them alongside tons of vibrant crystals, beautiful feathers and of course, some of my current favs from the shop. I think they fit in so perfectly and I am thrilled to have these totally inspirational pieces hanging in the studio.

I'm feeling so inspired by all the wonderful new projects we have going on here at SoulMakes and I'm so grateful for all the incredible love and support you all have shown us each time we release a new line or concept! I'm feeling like anything is possible.  I'm so blessed to be in a place where my dreams, which are beyond imaginable to me, are taking shape right in front of us. It's been a long road to this kind of beautiful freedom and I suspect it gets even better the bigger my faith grows.

Day Dream Believer

I'm feeling so grateful and so blessed today! Every now and then it's good for me to share about it, because I certainly never imagined that one day my dreams would become a reality. So this is for all of you soul searching wanderers out there, no matter where you are in your life, believe in your dreams. There was a time when I had no real direction, no clear ambitions, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. But I always knew that I was being guided by a Power Greater than myself, it was in my surrender that my path became clear. Certainly, there have been times throughout this great adventure that I've felt lost, scared or even a little overwhelmed, but I just kept going through the motions. There's that nagging notion that if I'm slightly uncomfortable or I don't understand what's happening then I'm not ok. It's not true. The truth is, I can't see into the future and I'm not in control, so I quit playing the role of the director. I trust that I will be given as much strength and inspiration as I need on a daily basis and I know that I am worthy of having success in my life. All my needs are being met easily and effortlessly today, I simply turn them over to my Higher Power and do the footwork. I'm a little bit in awe of the wonderful journey that SoulMakes has taken us on. I am a daydream believer!

Gemini Rising

I recently shared about the amazingly talented artist behind Pony Gold. I had the pleasure of exchanging a few emails with Raych and she is truly a kind and gracious soul. I look up to her so much as an artist and I learned a lot from our chat! Raych is a big inspiration behind my drawing and she's definitely encouraged me to explore my style in new and exciting ways. I just received my first Pony Gold print, Gemini Rising, and Raych was kind enough to send a long a few extras with this lovely print and a very sweet hand written note. I couldn't be more grateful!

This beautiful little lady has my "MACK" written across her heart!

Raych's work is so unique and gorgeous, I'm very excited to have these beauties hanging in my studio area! Be sure to check out the Pony Gold shop!

Pony Gold

I am forever inspired by Rachel Urquhart, the brilliant illustrator and writer behind Pony Gold. Her drawings are amazing; the perfect balance of simplicity and detail, they appear seemingly effortless while simultaneously revealing just the right amount of depth and soul. Her art has undoubtably influenced many of my designs, so I wanted to share some of her beautiful works with you!

She's drawn logos for many of my favorite designers, like Wild and Free Jewelry and Spell!  Not only is Raych a talented illustrator, she's got great personal style. I love her rock n' roll vibe.

My Nails

That's right, a post about my nails. Although I haven't had much time for it lately, I'm pretty into nail art. I'm not so bad at it either :) Take a look...

After 4 weeks of unpainted nails, a record for me, I finally found some time to sit down and paint them this week. Sometimes, it's the little things. I love putting my creative energy to use and being able to pamper myself simultaneously is a big plus :)

Details - Around the house

Aside from jewelry making, I like to consider myself and artist of all trades. I also really love to paint, although it's been too long since I've done that. So here's a few snap shots of some of my paitnings etc, oh and a signed Fleetwood Mac record…no big deal :) I love our little home! Since we're both artist there's lots of really cool little details

My New Space

This weekend Trevor set up a little desk for me in our apartment. He's so great :) Before now I have kept all my supplies in one huge bag, filled with many other smaller bags, that weighs 800 pounds, because I'm a mobile beader. But now I have this awesome little work space! I am super excited, I didn't really leave my new space all weekend. 

Why so serious?

I started on a few new ideas this weekend. First, chokers. Lots of people have been asking me about chokers. I am always wearing one, but right now the only one in the shop is the Crystal Choker. There is definitely more coming soon!

And I've been playing around with anklets..

So hopefully we'll have some items posted soon!
